About EM event management

EM – Event Management is a New York City based business with years of experience behind it. It’s director and owner is Emily Lester (Cahnmann) who has done numerous events over the past 15 years.

Emily holds a B.S. in Vocal and Instrumental Music Performance and a minor in Drama from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. This aspect of her knowledge background gives her a real sense of artistry, flow and communication - key elements when planning an event that you want to be magical and memorable for all. Her southern hospitality and charm gives her a sense of ease, decorum and respect in dealing with all types of personalities, cultures and religious backgrounds.

Having worked for the Walt Disney Company for nearly nine years, she has been involved in some very spectacular events. She also has worked with other corporations as spokesperson and corporate representative. She has a teaching certificate in Music Education K-12 and has taught in both Gymboree and Kindermusik programs for nine years. During this time she managed the birthday party division of this business coordinating 13 centers both in New York City and Washington DC/Virginia area. Some weekends she’d have as many as 23 parties going on at once!

Emily feels that every event – large or small, child or adult, corporate or private should have the personality of the host and be a warm, inviting, and memorable time for everyone. Events should always be special times; EM – Event Management will make sure that they are!
